Pets on the Eurostar
Regretably, you are not allowed to take your dogs or other pets on Eurostar trains. You will be only allowed to travel with a dog if it is a guide dog.
Thankfully you do have a few options that will get your dog to where you want to go.
These options are;
- Your first option, and probaly the cheapest and most efficient one is to ask a relative or friend to drive yourself and your animal to Calais by car; once you have arrived at Calais Ville or Calais Fréthun station, your relative or friend can return to the England, whilst you head to you destination by train. Dogs are allowed on normal French Railways trains.
- Another option would be to take a standard English train to Dover, then takea ferry across the Channel and then board a standard French train to Paris. Dogs travel free of charge.
- Some ferry companies take dogs, but only if the dog is in a kennel.
- Lastely you could use a company called MiniMoves, but this would be the most expensive option. They can manuver your dog from your home in the UK and they will meet you at your chosen point in Paris. The cost for this method from London to Paris could set you back from £895 one-way!
